Papa Guido's Pizza
About This Spot
Stepping into Papa Guido’s Pizza in Redondo Beach feels like slipping into a familiar neighborhood gem where the pace slows just enough to savor simple, satisfying meals. It’s the kind of place where the hum of casual conversations and the gentle clatter of dishes create a welcoming soundtrack — not flashy or rushed, but quietly reassuring. The modest space hints at the love poured into each pizza, the atmosphere lived-in and genuine.
This spot has an unpretentious charm that invites both locals and visitors to unwind with a pizza pie that feels homemade, generous, and thoughtfully crafted. Whether grabbing a personal pizza that’s surprisingly hearty or settling in with wings and crisp potatoes that hit just the right note of comfort, every bite speaks to consistent care rather than gimmick. The lightly crisped crust holds toppings with a balanced touch, and the sides — like their famously crisped bread sticks and thoughtfully seasoned wings — invite moments of shared enjoyment, often accompanied by a cool ranch dip or a hint of zesty marinara.
Though space inside is limited, Papa Guido’s shines as a dependable spot for both pick-up and delivery, cherished by those who appreciate a steady, no-nonsense experience. Here, the ritual of pizza is less about flair and more about reliable flavor — the sort that doesn’t need fanfare, only a spot at the table and company to pass the time with.
For anyone looking to blend ease with a distinctly local vibe, Papa Guido’s offers a quiet, comforting nook where the food never oversells itself, but leaves you quietly glad to have stopped by.

It was good pizza. I wouldn't say it was my favorite ever, but it was satisfying for dinner and reasonably priced.

There are a lot of pizza options in the Southbay, and most leave me asking why??? Too soggy, strange cheese mix, crust that looks and tastes like it may have been frozen... none of that is true of Papa's. Crust and flavors are on point. While they have a fee tables, this is really a pickup or delivery option. Enjoy!

The pizza is so delicious and the papas are to die for lightly breaded and crisp yet soft too. Perfect with ranch. Everything I’ve had here I really enjoyed. Such a great mom and pop restaurant.

I’ve been mainly getting pizzas from Papa Guido’s for years, ( and only Papa Guido’s !) After trying pizzas from many other places, nothing compares ! Papa Guido’s service and delivery if ordering from home is the best anywhere. C Gardner

I’ve been going to Papa Guido’s for 8 years straight, and it’s hands-down one of the most consistent and delicious spots around. Their wings? Best in the state, no exaggeration. I always ask for them well done, and they come out perfect every time: crispy, flavorful, and served with addicting sliced fried potatoes, kind of like Papa Mojos from Shakey’s. The ranch is next-level, and the pizza never misses. The crust is always crispy, the ingredients fresh, and every bite reminds me why I keep coming back. Even the cheese bread is fire. But what truly sets Papa Guido’s apart is the people. The owner and staff are some of the kindest, most humble folks you’ll ever meet. They don’t nickel-and-dime you for extras like ranch, just ask and they’ll happily give you a generous amount. It’s rare to find that kind of generosity and warmth in a restaurant these days. The place itself has that old-school, cozy pizza joint vibe, nothing fancy, just great food and even better people. Prices are incredibly reasonable. It’s always busy for a reason. Can’t recommend it enough.

This place is our local go-to pizza place! We have tried most of the items on the menu and they're all delicious. The service is decent, and the staff are very nice. They even called me to give me an update on an order I placed online as soon as they opened the store, which I appreciate so much. I attached a couple of photos from the inside; it is just not a sit down and eat type of restaurant, but they do have a small area with some chairs. Overall, the food is delicious, not a long a wait time typically. I'd suggest ordering inline to save you some time ahead of time.
